Living on the firebase, over looking Bong Son Pass, was seemingly endless days of heat and boredom or rain and boredom, broken
up by an occassional trip to the ville or a firing mission in the middle of the night. C-rations were the norm. Once in a
while, a hot meal was brought out from LZ English with the mail and it seemed like a holiday.
